Announcing Summer VISTA Program 2019 Partners

June 4, 2019

Iowa Campus Compact is pleased to welcome 10 Iowa nonprofit organizations as partners in our mission to strengthen community-campus relationships through the Campus Compact VISTA Summer Associate program.  The organizations have hired 15 VISTA Summer Associates to work on projects including the development of new curricula for youth programming, building new partnerships with community agencies who serve youth, recruiting volunteers to serve youth over the summer, developing strategies to retain those volunteers, and providing direct tutoring and mentoring services to Iowa’s youth.

“These partnerships help us to strengthen communities while providing summer learning experiences for students,” said Iowa Campus Compact Executive Director Emily Shields.

The VISTA members will serve full time for the summer and receive orientation and training from Iowa Campus Compact staff.
