Staying Connected While Keeping Our Distance

April 24, 2020

For everyone who can, staying home and staying apart is essential to the health and safety of our communities right now. It’s important to stay committed to distance, but it doesn’t mean we have to disconnect. Higher education and our communities are facing new and daunting challenges that mean it’s imperative we continue to come together, support each other, and find ways to collaborate. Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact are here to help make this happen.

Over the next several months, we are offering a variety of opportunities to connect, learn, get new ideas, and continue to build your networks and partnerships. See below and meet us online.

New Resource-Sharing Slack Channel

We are offering a new platform for members in Iowa and Minnesota looking to connect, but overwhelmed by email and Zoom. Slack is an online platform for discussion, sharing, and connection. Learn more here and join our channel.

Regional Network Gatherings

Response to the pandemic and its economic impacts are being felt differently depending on local context. Therefore, we are prioritizing our continued efforts to connect our members in shared geographies for deeper connections, collaboration, and resource-sharing.

We are also considering other gatherings around role and institution type. Complete this survey to help us plan and you’ll receive information on gatherings as they are scheduled.

In addition, our team is always here to help your individual campus with planning, problem-solving, and professional development. Contact Jane Turk at jturk {at} compact(.)org to schedule time with us.
