Announcing Second Civic Action Academy Keynote
Iowa Campus Compact is proud to announce that Nancy Mwirotsi will serve as the second keynote for the upcoming Civic Action Academy.

Mwirotsi is the founder of Pursuit of Innovation 515, known as Pi515, a program that teaches STEM skills to low-income children, mainly refugee in the Des Moines metro. She has inspired and provided a pathway for many to attend college; in 2016, all five seniors in her program entered college to study STEM fields. She was recently named a Catalyst by the Technology Association of Iowa.
She will talk about her experience as an immigrant to the United States from Kenya, a tech entrepreneur, and a nonprofit founder and CEO. She will share what she has learned about how to truly empower communities and people, especially refugee and immigrant youth to build better lives for themselves and others.
