Faculty Development

Iowa Campus Compact offers a range of opportunities for faculty interested in incorporating quality community engagement into their teaching and scholarship.

If you are looking for ways to engage new faculty or build new skills, we can provide development opportunities on your campus. We offer two-hour or half-day workshops on community engagement skills and practices, including partnership, assessment, reflection, and more. Contact Emily Shields to discuss and schedule.

Each year, we also offer the opportunity for member campuses to host an Engaged Faculty Institute on campus. Using curriculum developed by California Campus Compact and Campus Compact of the Mountain West, we provide an in-depth institute on components and practices of quality and rigorous community engagement, as well as the opportunity to connect directly with community partners to co-create courses and/or research projects. Contact Emily Shields for more information.
