2020 Census: Resource Sharing Zoom Call
Emerging research indicates most students don’t understand basic facts about the census, including that it is mandated by the Constitution. Even though the Supreme Court recently decided against the inclusion of a citizenship status question, issues of mistrust are complicating the 2020 Census, and the stakes are high for a full and accurate count. Census counts determine how Pell grant dollars, school lunch program funding, and housing resources are allocated to states. That data also determines how many congressional districts each state has. Register below to join us on September 19, 1-2 pm for a conversation about how higher education can engage the census in courses and as an institution — or peruse these curated resources.
