At the core of Iowa Campus Compact’s mission is deepening our member campuses’ capacity to educate students for active citizenship and strengthen their communities. We do this through many of our programs, events, and resources.
We have also implemented a new system to help campuses assess their current capacity and set concrete goals for the future. This will help us to better understand member campus ends and be able direct resources more effectively.
The self-assessment process includes a rubric based largely on the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement. An outline of the process and the rubric are both available for download below.
This year, we are also offering several additional opportunities for member campuses to develop Civic Action Plans. Learn more.
