Join a National Storytelling Movement
Iowa Campus Compact is excited to announce the renewal of our partnership with The Facing Project, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that connects people through stories to strengthen communities. The Facing Project uses a train-the-trainer model to work with colleges and universities to equip faculty, staff, and students with the tools and resources necessary to organize and share the stories of local citizens through the talent of student writers and actors. The stories are compiled into a book, brought to life on stage through a community theatre event, and then used in your community for advocacy, programming, and awareness.
Since its founding in 2012, The Facing Project has worked with 75 communities/campuses in 15 states and has been has been recognized by The Huffington Post and Harlem World Magazine as one of three storytelling organizations to watch.
