Time: This one hour and 15 minute webinar will be held at 12 pm Pacific, 1 pm Mountain, 2 pm Central and 3 pm Eastern time. Description: Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) currently works with more than two dozen campuses throughout California to provide services to higher education institutions ranging from community colleges to CSUs to UC campuses. We support sustainability and climate change initiatives with best practices and resources in three key areas: leveraging the campus as a living laboratory; providing community-based experiential learning opportunities for students to explore emerging careers; and assisting in the development of educational models and support to faculty who are working on relevant and timely research and programs in sustainability and climate change. Webinar: Colorado Civic Health Network – The Amazing Tale of How a Report Turned into Action for Civic Learning and Engagement

Time: This one hour and 15 minute webinar will be held at 12 pm Pacific, 1 pm Mountain, 2 pm Central and 3 pm Eastern time. Description: In 2014, a group of nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, government agencies, and private businesses came together to publish the inaugural Colorado Civic Health Index. While powerful in the information it contained, the Index was a report like any other, at risk of being shelved and collecting dust. Instead, what developed over the subsequent three years was a collective impact initiative to strengthen the civic health, civic learning, and civic engagement of Colorado (and now Wyoming). This webinar will explore a specific workgroup of the Civic Health Network, namely the P-20 Collaborative for Civic Learning and Engagement. Through this group developed the Democracy XXXIII Initiative, including specific programming for K-12 teacher professional development, higher education civic health and equity, and P-20 civic learning and engagement. Webinar: Civic Action Plan – What Have We Learned

Time: This one hour and 15 minute webinar will be held at 12 pm Pacific, 1 pm Mountain, 2 pm Central and 3 pm Eastern time. Description: Utah Campus Compact was the first Campus Compact affiliate to achieve full adoption of the Civic Action Statement by all of its member institutions. In preparation, UTCC offered a Civic Action Planning Institute in February 2016 that kick started the civic action planning process for eight campuses. This webinar will provide an opportunity for participants hear from three institution types about what has been learned through this process and how the Civic Action Plans are moving the community engagement agendas forward for these campuses. Facilitators: Lucy Smith, Engaged Learning Coordinator, Salt Lake Community College - Lucy holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Utah in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an emphasis in Experiential Education.
